The winery’s greatest asset is its vines. It is in the vineyards where our greatest efforts are made and most of our time is spent.
The vines belonging to Bodegas Sinforiano stretch over every part of the Mucientes vineyard, which is made up of a great range of soil-types, in particular limestone, clay and gravel.
The 70 hectares where the grapes are grown are currently divided into 40 set aside for goblet or bush vines whereas the remaining 130 are wire-trained. 60% of these vines are more than 60 years old. The following grapes are grown: Tempranillo, Verdejo, Albillo and Garnacha Tinta. Tempranillo being the majority at 70%. Over the last 20 years the winery has trialled several foreign grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. |
